Generals Release 2021 MCL Schedule

Joliet, Ill. – May, 18, 2021 – The Joliet Generals have finalized their 50-game schedule for the much anticipated 2021 Midwest Collegiate League (MCL) season. The new-look Generals have a new home for 2021, and they will play home games at both Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill, and at Lee Pfund Stadium at Legion Field in Wheaton, Ill.

The season premieres on May 28 against the Southland Vikings at Benedictine, which is part of a seven-game homestand in the first six days, including home-doubleheaders against the Northwest Indiana Oilmen (May 29) and the Crestwood Panthers (May 30). They will play seven straight road games following the homestand, and return to Wheaton for a matchup against the Southland Vikings on June 21.

The Generals are coming off a sixth place finish in the MCL in the compressed 2020 season Benedictine assistant coach Joe Silva will take over in his first season as manager for the Generals. He is joined by pitching coach Adam O’Malley, who will also be in his first year with the organization.
