Joliet, Ill. – June 28, 2021 – The Midwest Collegiate League announced this week’s accolades on Monday as Joliet Generals infielder Christian Seegers (Oakton / Schaumburg, Ill.) was named the MCL Player of the Week.

Seegers went 5-for-6 with three doubles, three RBIs, two runs and two walks this week, becoming the first General to garner Player of the Week honors this season and the second Joliet player to obtain an MCL weekly award this year. He drove in three and had three hits including two doubles on Monday vs. Southland before enjoying another multi-hit output in Sunday’s road game against the Chicago American Giants.

The MCL will continue to announce its weekly honors each Monday throughout the season.
