The Generals' Wednesday night game scheduled for 7 p.m. against the Hammond Vikings has been canceled.

Due to Tuesday's inclement weather, that canceled the Generals' Opening Day game against the Miracle from Elkhart County, Brian Jennings Field at Griffith High School has been deemed unsafe to play Wednesday night's game.

The Generals finish the month of May with two more scheduled games, including a home game against the Indiana Panthers on Thursday and an away game against the Northwest Indiana Oilmen. 

Thursday night's game against the Panthers has a scheduled first pitch at 7 p.m. 

"All the guys are excited to play," said Generals' manager Amir Wright, "The good thing is, eventually, opening day is going to have to come."

Wednesday's other Northern League game scheduled for 7 p.m. between the Panthers and Miracle was also canceled.
