The Generals fall to the Vikings Saturday night

The Generals could not muster more than two runs in a 6-2 loss to the Hammond Vikings on Saturday night.
 
The Vikings and the Generals each put one run on the board in the first inning. The Generals scored on a Cole Hockman single.
 
Hammond took the lead in the third inning when Isaiah Steinhilber drew a walk that scored one run, giving the Vikings a 2-1 edge over the Generals. 
 
The Vikings added three more runs in the fourth securing the win.
 
Ian Clark started. on the mound for the Generals. Clark allowed five runs over five innings off of eight hits while striking out five and walking five batters. 
 
Trey Pitcock toed the rubber for seven innings for the Vikings allowing only two runs on seven hits while striking out four. 
 
Angel Ramirez and Hockman each drove in a run for the Generals and Ayden Elixson led the Generals at the plate with two singles, a single and a walk. 
 
The Generals fall to 6-12 on the year and welcome the Northwest Indiana Oilmen to Brian Jennings Field on Sunday at 4 p.m.
